This past weekend I took my 41 CMY out for a 20 mile trip. On the way home, I had an engine alarm go off on my port engine when I pushed the throttles up past 2800 RPM. I immediately shut it down and started looking things over. I got normal temps and oil pressure, so I started up again. As long as I stayed below 2500 RMP it was OK, no alarm. I tried throttling up again and same thing, after about 30 seconds the alarm went off. Came home at low RPM around 1800 RPM with no problems.
I have Volvo D6 370s and the alarm on the led panel just said check manuel. I'm sure it must be something silly. I did have the oil and filters changed the week prior. To my knowledge there is no fuel leak.
Anyone have this issue before?

I don't know a thing about your Volvos, but....
Oil full? You would be surprised how much oil is not in the pan when running. A bit low and it could drive a low level alarm.

I didn't think about low oil level because we just changed it. You could be right. I'll check it when I gent back down this weekend .
Thanks!

I am not sure if you have gotten an answer but I believe it is water in your fuel. You will need to drain the racor and engine fuel filters. There is pre-warnings on your EVC, if you have it, there are small lights that blink. Then your warning gauge will flash and finally the audible alarm will sound. Good luck.
