Water leak

Postby just2 » December 3rd, 2015, 8:03 am

I am new to the Forum. I have a 1997 405 aft cabin. When at rest, there is water leaking into the forward bilge and after much troubleshooting, it appears to originate at the rear port exhaust. Anyone else had a similar issue and what is the repair?

Water leak

I've seen this issue on 356 Aft Cabin boats. Two issues that it could be. First, The hose at the outlet is loose and may just need to have it's clamps tightened. Second, The sealant between the port and the hull have failed. With this, you'll need to unbolt the port, remove it from the boat, reseal, and reinstall.
