Rotary speaker switch in master stateroom

Post by Luckyskiff »

Hi everyone, I've recently purchased a 1997 355 AC and am starting to work on the fix list. In the master stateroom and bridge there is a rotary switch that I think controls stereo speakers. Neither of these switches work. Can anyone tell me what these switches are supposed to do and where I can get replacements? The switch has 6 wires connected to it; 2 green and 4 brown.

Thanks for any help.

They are supposed to control the volume of the speakers in the area. Mine don't work either. So i installed a separate remote control pioneer stereo, cd changer, and xm radio interface on the bridge. And i have no need to control speaker volume in the stateroom, so i left it alone.
I considered removing the switches and cleaning with :captain: contract cleaner, but decided the fader was useless.
I would guess you could find new units at allied electronics.
You have the left and right channels from the radio, and the left and right channels out to the speakers.
Thanks
Fred
