Salon AC Removal

Anyone know how to remove the AC Unit out of the Salon on a 2004 39MY? It might fit through the access panel if I remove the blower motor. Otherwise it looks like the TV cabinet needs to be removed. The condensation pan is rusted and leaking.

Here's an update,
Had to remove the TV cabinet. Next the lower cabinet had to come out but the counter top was glued to it so once that was separated, that cabinet was free to come out. Tough job figuring all that out, took out lots of screws that didn't need to come out. Now we have all the room needed to get that old AC unit out.

Spoke to a Cruisair dealer at Baltimore boat show and like the new Turbo units with composite trays and are said to be quieter. The 16K BTU is around $2300 show price. There are other brands around $1500 but are metal trays.

Here's the two vendors is see the most. Cruisair and Marineair are the same. Marinaire is the other vendor and much cheaper units. Spelling is very close. I bet you have the Marinair units installed as I did.

Look at Webasto units as well. Supposed to be the quietest. But then again, they all say that.

There's a guy in Florida selling Webastos dirt cheap.

I bought a replacement 5K unit with reverse heat for my forward cabin, mounted control unit and a remote control for 900 delivered. I haven't installed it yet, and what good would it do in this below-zero-high temperature weather!? It came brand new in the Webasto packaging. I can't guarantee a thing other than I sent him 900 bucks paypal and he sent me the unit.

KD, Thank you for this. I have an 04 396 and I have often wondered about that unit going bad . I assumed that there was no easy way for that to come out, unlike the other two which are very straight forward. I find it hard to believe that only recently are the manufacturers moving to non-metal condensation trays.
