2000 396MY icemaker removal
When opening the small round access port forward of the unit I see screws but cannot get to them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The best thing I ever did was replace the ice maker with a refrigerator.

Re: 2000 396MY icemaker removal
The first pic shows front and the second one shows what I think may be mounting screws. I got second pic by taking a picture with my phone thru the small round access port. Is it possible these screws hold this unit in? It is the only thing I could find and I am not sure if I can get a screwdriver on the bottom one because of the fiberglass. As far as the other side I could not even get this far to see screws going in thru the cabinet to the right of the icemaker. Thanks for all your help to all!

Is it also possible that the outside flange is two pieces... the outside being the decorative cover, which can be popped off to reveal the screws underneath? (some closer pics of that flange, especially around the corners would give some clues).

Can you get access though that seat, or is that inspection hole the only way to see behind the unit? Is it possible there's a bracket mounted closer to the rear of the unit that's holding it in?
