ignition alarm

Postby rv53 » August 17th, 2022, 7:36 pm

Hi all, Anyone know what the alarm system protects or what sensors are on a 1995 mariner 330 as far as engine goes? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Would probably help to list the engines make/model on the boat, as others might have the same engine but don't know what would have come on that particular boat.

The engines are 5.7l crusaders. I would guess it monitors low oil pressure and high water temp but was wondering if it would monitor low water flow through the exhaust or low tranny fluid too.

I would venture as to not monitoring exhaust water flow/temp but that is a very easy add on. I've set mine up on my nmea network with temp sensors and alarm points or could be a stand alone alarm.

Low oil pressure, high engine temp and high transmission temp.
