2002 Carver 444 Portlight

Postby Jmchris » January 13th, 2024, 12:30 pm

Hi All, New member and new Carver owner.

On my 2002 Carver 444:
The exterior part of the forward Port shower portlight is missing. I have no idea why someone removed it, but I'm needing a replacement portlight. I've done tons of google searches and come up empty handed. Does anyone know where I can find a proper replacement portlight? I'd really like to keep the exact replacement if I can find one.

On close examination, it looks like some insert that seals against the window is missing. Maybe the entire portlight doesn't need to be replaced.

Thanks in advance for any assist!
Cheers,
Jeff

Looks like your missing the plastic ring that surrounds the portlight. Not sure if they are the same, but we just bought two new ones from Pompanette to replace the cracked ones in our master head. We're currently cruising and we haven't been still long enough to do it, but it's on the list!

I'll get the details when we stop tonight and update this post.

This lady was a big help in identifying my portlight and she answered pretty fast. B Bomar <bomar@pompanette.com>
On mine, The screen & gasket kit for model S718 is part number P100-03-RETRO @ $100.00 each

KyleR,
MUCH appreciated! Yes, I think your boat and mine have the same portlights. When you're able, I'd appreciate any Part numbers or information on what you ordered for your boat. Thanks!

kgarguilo,
Much thanks as well! Pompanette is just over the bridge in Tampa from me. I'll reach out to them on Monday.

Have a great weekend and thanks again!!!
Happy Times

Here's the details of what we ordered:

Part number: VT517-1-1/160W
Price: $116 each (they did give me a veterans discount off this price though)

Shipping was $33.70 for two of them and then there was sales tax as well.

I worked with a lady named Marty Barnette at Pompanette/Bomar and the number is 603-826-5791. Pics attached with dimensions.

Hope that helps!
