has anyone changed transmission fluid on 2004-05 carver366 motor yacht with 8.1 crusader engines and hurth transmissions,if so how did you access both filters...not alot of room to get at transmissions...am I missing any access openings ????? thanks

Not sure on the 366. Which transmissions do you have? I have the same Volvo's on my 396 with good access. The trans are ZF Hurth 80A's. Oil changes are pretty straight forward. Two points to remove the fluid. First is the lower drain fitting bolt on the back, bottom of the unit. The second point is to remove the filter and use an oil removal pump like you would for your engine oil. I have done it both ways. The former is messier and the latter may not get everything out. Filters are not cheap but I have been told by multiple sources to say away from the aftermarkets on these. They work in a high pressure environment and a filter not built to spec may come apart and create a very expensive repair.
