So, just bought a 1993 350 Aft Cabin with the above diesels. I have to move the boat from the Cheasepeake to Myrtle Beach where she will live. I'm not familiar with the fuel burn on these engines. If it was a Ford Lehman or a Cummins I have that info. Does anyone have any idea of burn rate at 6.5 to 7 knots and also at cruising speed which I believe is 15 kts, but not sure. Trying to get an idea so I can plan fuel stops. Boat Diesel is still down, so no help there...

While I can’t give you specific numbers, I would expect those Volvos would be similar to Cummins. No way Lehman’s are going to push that boat 15 knots. Also, I’m guessing your optimum cruising speed will be more in the 18 knot range, Do yourself a favor and don’t run 15. You will get better fuel economy at 18 than you will at 15.

That's what I wasn't sure of, the cruising speed. I just used the Lehman's as an example of what I'm familiar with. Yep, no way are they suitable for this type of vessel.
