Hey lads, here is the HD kit - $39 CAD, throw away the transformer and wire direct. Only sit about 3/8 lower than OE flush mounted. Great option to get rid of the old plastic trim ring fixtures.

They also have colour changing ones too if you want go do a porn shoot on your boat lol...

Yup thats them, only there were 5 in the one we found for 59 or so.I just finished testing them, hooked up to 12v battery, added a load (12v work light),and connected a digital smart charger....let voltage drop to 12.1 then put charger on to 30 amps charge( 15.2 volts)...result was nothing happened, lights did not seem to be affected, alls well after 2 hours at 13.2vdc ,barely warm to the touch, so maybe we will be ok with these....Thanks again Lyndon..... :beergood:
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.....

No problem Mike, I did have some trouble finding them in the Oshawa store - I bought all of the ones they had. ill be hitting the other local HD stores and maybe try Lowes. I guess I was off a bit on the price, but still a smoking deal when you look at - if you can find them - surplus Carver OE ones.

Mine have been running now since 14 without an issue. I think I have to get about 20 more to replace to get the full 72 lights (wtf were they thinking lol) onboard replaced.

Same ones I used to replace the hardtop ones and one in the master head. Recouped the master head unit to replace a broken one in the salon so they would match. Manufacturer/importer is a few km from my house. :-D http://www.dalslighting.com/en
