Mariner is to tall
I have a transport question. How hard is it to drop the radar arch on a Mariner 350? It's a short hull, but It's a 12" too tall.
What does it in tail?

Re: Mariner is to tall
My transporter has all the permits and trailer. I just need to make it 12" shorter.

Re: Mariner is to tall
Our Mariner was brought up to Toronto from Ohio by the previous owner. I wasn't present for the dropping/reinstalling of the arch but he was and said it was a PITA. He said if he had to do it again, he would make sure that the company hauling the boat had experience this this particular model. Take down wasn't so bad but he said that reconnecting everything was awful. Took a considerable amount of time to get everything that is wired through there working again.
If there is any way to cruise it from where you are buying it to home, that would be my recommendation.

Re: Mariner is to tall
Our 350 was shipped from Lake Ontario to Orillia Ontario (~100K) the arch in place. I came on a very low to the ground trailer.... seemed to be no problem for height.

Re: Mariner is to tall
Possible solution for height problem. I can add hinges to the arch and fold it back for travel. I found this one online.

You may want to go the hinge route just in case in the future you come across a low bridge in your future travels. Mike

I want to bring it home for the winter. There are always tweeks to be done. Better done at home.

Re: Mariner is to tall
Hello to all Mariner owners.
I am about to purchase a 2005 vintage 360 and would appreciate any/all feedback on owning a Mariner.
Seems to be the right boat for our needs but would love to hear from folks with direct experience.
The company itself seems to be very responsive to my inquiries and has been helpful in answering questions and providing information, so I am comfortable with that aspect of the purchase.
However, I would love any feedback that you can provide both good and bad.
Many thanks,
Dennis
