shifters for a 76 mariner

Anything related to the operation of your boat. Steering, Bilge Pumps, thru-hulls, bottom paint, etc.

shifters for a 76 mariner

the 76 mariner i just got had brand new shifter and throttle cables..... but the levers themselves are shop, are these fairly easy to come by or are they very specific to carvers?

They should be either Morse brand (no longer in business) or Teleflex brand. They probably don't make parts for them ant longer, but they can be replaced with pretty much anything available that will fit in the cutout. The connections should be the same as to connect the already new cables to the new controls.

Stuff like this = EBay is your friend.
Set up a search and have it email you with new items.
I found many many New-Old-Stock obsolete items while redoing our Mariner.
Cheap too!
