1977 Carver 2576 Camper - Identifying unknown switches

Hello all, I'm finishing restoration on my 77 Camper and was wondering if anyone was familiar with the aux volts/fuel volts switch. What position should they be in?



Also, does anyone else have these switches in front of the throttle? It's a push button and to rocker switches. I was told the depth charge lever is for nuetral throttle control the others dont work and I have no clue.

So the fuel volts switch, I have one similar to that. With mine, it only works when my port engine is running. In the down position, it should send electricity to your fuel gauge and your number 1 battery, so your volt meter will show the charge on your #1 battery and the fuel gauge should work. In the up position, it should show you the voltage for your #2 battery.

I have no clue for the other 2 switches and the push button. It could be anything.

Two switches by throttle maybe trim tabs?

Waybomb, I thought so too but the trim tab switches are located up on the console. I just got those working! Thanks though!

Thanks for the response. Thats exactly what happens on my boat too, but I only have 1 battery as of right now so when I throw it onto fuel volts, only the fuel gauge works. When I put it on Aux, the rest of the gauges (oil pressure, temp, etc) come on. Whats the point of not being able to see your fuel level at the same time as the other gauges? I only have 1 engine so I'm a little puzzled what I'm supposed to do. Maybe I should rewire the fuel gauge so it always works???

Hmmm...in your case I don't disagree. I would suggest a 2nd battery and a battery switch close to the batteries. I can not even count how many times I have been stranded on the lake. I always feel better with 2 batteries, one less thing I need to fret about.
As for the fuel gauge, wire it in with the rest of the gauges.
