Seat post for captains chair

Post by Laserbait »

Hi All!

I have a '88 36 Mariner, and the captains chair is WAY too low for me. Does anyone know if the post can be replaced? If so, what diameter size does it need?

Unfortunately, I'm taking a trip and don't have access to the boat right now to check it out closer. Any information would be great because I'd like to order something taller for this weekend's cruise when I get back.

Thanks!

Laser - not sure what was used on your vessel, but mine has the post piece as an individual item. The base and the seat attachment are extremely sturdy, so all you would really need is the actual post. Could go to a trucking equipment store and maybe even get an air-ride post. 8-) er

You could try contacting Carver with your hull number and they'll give you the supplier info. Just contact the supplier and ask them what your options are.
