Here is my new project for this coming year...underwater lights. They were inexpensive and easy to install...hope they last

Sure. They are TH Marine and were about $35.00 each. I'm hoping that they last, otherwise, I have 15 holes in my transom that need to be filled. I have a friend at work that installed them last year, and, while not as bright as $1000 lights, still light up the water really well and seem to be lasting. I'll keep you all posted on their performance.

35 bucks! That's great - I've been looking for lights and ran across what you did - thousands for lights. Boat won't have thousand dollar lights!
Thanks

Which ones from TH Marine did you buy - they have many models. Are they the plastic rectangular ones or the round flat faced ones?

Sorry Lyndon, didn't see this until now. They are 6 LED oval lights and are plastic. They seem to work OK, but if the water is murkey, you will not see them well. In our marina, they are not super visible, but when we take the boat to Put In Bay where the water is much clearer, they are fantastic! Next time, I would spring for $100 + lights with more lumens.

I installed those on my Silverton - we have very clear water hear and they would through the light a solid 10 feet out behind the swim platform. A good thing about those lights is you can install them in your trim tabs and avoid drilling into the hull. That's the setup I used - bonus to that is you can aim the lights higher in the water by lifting the tabs up, which is great if the water is murky. Best $70 I spent!
