The 213 bridge at Chesapeake city is high enough for car carriers to pass under. What I meant, is there is or was a railroad bridge just south of the bush river yacht club that had limited clearance and limited hours of operation. I remember my grand father having to plan boating from the club to the bay around the bridge schedule. That was over 30 years ago, so it may no longer be an issue. Also, there were times when the army base at Aberdeen would restrict traffic on the river due to munitions testing. Again a long time ago, but ask.

Thanks Tom, not being familiar with the area I appreciate the warning. I'll be meeting with someone from the yacht club on Sunday to see the facilities and hopefully get information about their bubbling system for winter in water storage for next winter. Being new to boating, I'm going to leave it at BBYH this year and watch how the authorization is done, take notes and be an all around pest so that I can do it myself in the future.

Just an FYI, I am sure you know, but just in case.....
You still need to winterize all of the systems if you keep it in the water.

I'm glad to hear that you are not selling. Monetization will be done by Thanksgiving at the latest. Monday I'm having it hauled out to get the props removed and rebalance them back in the water on Thursday. Since I'm new to boating, I plan on taking a few hours of lessons in handling the boat before I winterize it. My biggest problem is getting a winter cover made. A Carved 396, real nice boat, in a nearby slip recommended Canvas Plus located in Northeast, but I've left 3 messages without a return call. Any recommendations?

Kevin at Canvas Plus does a great job. I would be surprised if anyone can make you a cover before you need it this year, Maybe do shrink this year and have a cover made for next?
