450 Voyager crane
I am going to fit a crane (Davit) to my 450 Voyager as it has not had the factory one fitted. Does anyone know if the pole passes right through the top deck down to the salon floor or is it only terminated at the fly bridge floor under the seats. I assume they set up all the hulls to take a crane if ordered. Thanks

Tim, give Carver a call or email from their site. Send them your hull #. They can check the actual build out log for your specific boat. They are very responsive. You are in boat season, and they know that. Carver facility has 6" of snow on the ground.

I agree with Cooler, an install like this would require getting the info from Carver on your specific boat...Imo.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Re: 450 Voyager crane
I have a friend who started a boat mfg company in Auckland in 1998, New Zealand Yachts. They built primarily wave double hulled wave piercer styled boats. His boat, the first one built, was the Kiwi Spirit. Have not heard from him in a lot of years, so not sure if the company is still in business. I am sure he would have sold the company by now. My original retirement plan was to live in the Bay of Islands, but then family changes kept me here, ( grandchildren ). It's great being a granpa.

Let me know if you have any issues getting response from Carver. I live 12 miles, ( 20KM ), from the Carver facility. I can help with getting you the info quickly.

Thanks for the help.
We have the Americas cup here in just over a year so plan a trip down under. You will miss the winter there as a bonus.
