Hello,
I just found this site and am pleased to know I am the good company of Carver owners. My gas-fueled Carver Voyager 370 ('93) is my second Carver having made the jump from the 28 Carver Voyager when I was a solo owner and operator. My marriage 5 years ago, prompted the search for a larger boat when my 6'0 husband and non-boater began to protest the smaller and less accessible birth. I thought it might be a really short marriage, but when we found this boat, it secured our future together. When I had the survey done, I spent the time with the surveyor and he spent the time checking the mattress in the birth. It was thumbs up from both of us, and today he is the captain driving the boat (and docking) with ease, and I gladly serve as the first mate. However, I still am the one spending more time in the engine compartment and bilge so it is wonderful to have a 'go-to' resource when determining if it is a DIY project or a call to the experts that it may require.
My husband and I cruise the Columbia River. Most of our cruising is within a 120 mile area that takes us from Bonneville Dam to Astoria, at the mouth of the Columbia.
Thanking all of you in advance for whatever information I may be requesting in the future as well as the excellent resource I see is already available to me.

Ya we have a great crew here for sure, lots of knowledge, and the forum administrators do a great job. We've come a long way since the first post in 2013.

Welcome aboard!! This is a great place to get info, as it always seems someone else has run into a similar problem before on their boat and usually several suggestions on how to proceed. Do you go out in the Pacific?? I hear that's a challenging entrance and exit at the river's mouth.

I've spent time in various parts of that state (last up in Omak) but never thought there'd be enough water in the southeast section to float a big boat! Apparently I was wrong! I just looked at the maps and didn't realize there were very large sections of navigable water between the dams.
