Replacement parts for Widows/hatches 1994 Carver 350 Aft Cabin

Post by eswickberg »

Hello All,

Im a new member and a new owner of a 1994 Carver 350 Aft Cabin. In respect to my windows and hatches I am trying to locate replacement parts for the following:

1) my 19" x 14" Aft Cabin Escape hatch (Vertical out to the Swim grid) has a crack in the lens. It's Bomar and I'm trying to determine the best way of replacing just the lens and the frame. I can't find the part number on it. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

2) On the forum I've found some material relating to the sliding widows in the Aft Cabin, Aft Head and Salon windows. It's not clear to me where and from whom I might be able to get replacement parts for the seals and sliding trim seals (not certain of that's what they are called).

Any direction or indication as to how I can obtain product parts and availability would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Eric

Welcome aboard Eric.

If you contact Carver's Service/Parts Dept. and give them your hull number, they'll be able to give you their part numbers and supplier contact information including the supplier part number. Then contact the supplier. They windows and hardware might be Taylor Made though others supplied window hardware as well. They usually have some information etched on one of the corners of the glass. Hopefully some of the other guys have gone through this and can provide additional insight.

Welcome to the gang! Try dkhardware.com CRL Z78295C Zipper Pile Weatherstrip .270" Backing - .250" Pile Height - 100' Roll. I just finished rebuilding all the salon windows on a 3807. One inch wide thin plastic scraper will allow
you to push it in. To do all the salon and aft windows I used almost 400 ft. 8-) er

That response was actually a cut & paste from another poster, quickdecision. His name is Ron, and he entered that info in response to another thread. That thread is under General Repairs tab, and the topic is "3607 window repairs". If you can't find that thread, just PM quickdecision, and he will provide the info you are looking for. Also, in regard to your throttle parts question, there was another post recently with the same issue. Someone provided a link where you could order those parts, but I can't find it right now. Just sift through the topics when you have time. If I come across it again, I will forward the info. 8-) er

Found the link from Sea Star. It was actually provided by Viper in another thread. Access that and see if they have a solution for you. This link brings you to a slightly different model, but I would think they have something to match yours if you get in contact with them. 8-) er
