A shower sump normally has 2 wires. I wire goes to the breaker which is positive 12v and we know this is good. The second wire goes to the float switch which when activated supplies ground and completes the circuit for the motor to run. You say you disconnected the float switch but it continues to run. How is the pump getting it’s ground connection? This is where the problem lies.

Problem solved. There are Manuel sump switch’s for forward and aft sumps and they were on. They didn’t look like they were pulled on but were. Feeling pretty ridiculous right now.

Owning a boat includes years of exploration/discovery, similar things have happened to us all. Glad you got it sorted out.
