Hello Everyone !
My name is Scott and i am a new carver boat owner, I have a carveer - 1987 - 3607 aft cabin cruiser. I am noticing the air conditioning pump is constantly running for fresh water cooling but i am not getting any cooling from any of my heat pumps. If i was to put a set of gauges on the system what should i expect for pressures when it operating correctly ??

Midnightsun wrote:Qr Bbpost My experience is the duckbills need to changed every 10 years or you will have issues. I have noted every 8 years now so I do not have to deal with a problem as opposed to preventative maintenance which can be done when you feel like it and when you have the time not to mention it gives you plenty of time to locate them a a really good price. I carry a complete set of duck bills for each head on board just in case.

As for the head being on or off when away from the boat I guess off or "sleep" is the best way to do it. I do know when we return there is still a vacuum in the system after a week.

Are these fairly universal? one size fits most? if so, do you have part number handy? I believe I should have spare handy as well.

Awesome. You know a bit more about your vacuflush now, glad it was a easy fix.

Yup its either that or whatever was stuck in the duckbills removed itself......... :-D .......

Had this boating friend who swore by this particular head treatment, it was a granular tablet that dissolved.....anyway every time we used it the vacu would act up until the bits worked their way thru.....hmmm
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

You could always dissolve the granular treatment in a glass of water then pour it in the head that way no bits to get stuck.

It was dissolved first , really just showing an example that even little things that seem insignificant can affect the proper operation.....does not always have to be something big.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.
