Hello. No boat yet
My sailboat go on the market in a few weeks. I had an epiphany over a year ago and realized that a cruiser is far better suited for my family than a sailboat.
BTW, I'm considering naming our next boat "Dad Joke". My daughter is not amused.

Which model are you looking at? Unless your kids are all old enough to be "deck hands", you keep them active on lines, a power boat is probably a much better option. Probably a lot easier on the whole family for overnighting on too.
Post up some pics when you get a chance!! Love to see 'before' and 'after' pics on projects too!!

Make sure you get a full pre-purchase survey and a sea trial would be great, but if it has been out of service for sometime, there's a good chance you will have fuel issues. Old gas, old ethanol gas that has been phase separated, water in the tanks, etc. Depending on the age of the gas there's a good possibility that all that old gas will need to be pumped out and disposed of.
