Paying by the foot. Which includes haul out, haul in, storage, shrink wrap, slip and power and water. Based on a 36 foot boat. With taxes around 6000$ mark. Able to pay in 8 equal installments.

I pay $3300 for a 40' slip. Electric is metered and billed separately. Water, trash and cable tv included.
Winter storage extra, $24 per foot includes haul out and launch.

In terms of storage and slip fees, it's a 12 month season!Midnightsun wrote:Qr Bbpost ....I'm paying around $3,000CDN ....Being located up north the season is from mid May until mid Oct so I guess one can say $600 a month....
A lot of variables for sure. Some marinas also include shrink wrapping in their slip fees.
No, our marina offers no storage. i store indoors at another marina, unheated. An additional $2000 or so plus haul in/out to add to that.

Re: Dock Fee By The Foot
At my marina I pay the fee for my seasonal dockage. Winter storage is separate as is shrinkwrap. Haul in and haul out is part of the winter storage fee. Where I am located pricing is very reasonable when I see what charges are in other areas. They do have inside storage but there is a waiting list to get inside as space is limited so I do pay about $400 for my annual shrinkwrap for winter.
The biggest unknown now for us is will fees rise under the new ownership. Time will tell.

Re: Dock Fee By The Foot
Did anybody get a break in marina fees this year or last because of COVID shutdowns, late openings and launch, reduced services, etc?

I'm really surprised many didn't RAISE fees, or add some kind of a "COVID SURCHARGE" to the bills!!

Re: Dock Fee By The Foot
I thought not but thought I'd ask. I heard some talk around marina association circles that it was being considered but I guess a lot of the overhead was still there in spite of shutdowns. Just wondering if ANY marina actually did that.

Re: Dock Fee By The Foot
My place went by the model number for length, then I think they had nothing to do and measured every boat. My 390 is 42” OAL.
