In doing my annual service/inspections I noticed a couple of things that gave me pause. I have no Anodes on the fresh water heat exchanger on the engine for the gen set and there is no green wire bonding to the boat's anode system like the main engines have. Does anyone know why this is not the case? On my Sea Ray 44DB with an Onan genset there was an anode in the fresh water exchanger. I don't recall whether the genset chassis was bonded
or not.

Carpe,
Is that genny a Yanmar engine? FWIW, our Kohler 20EOZ is a Yanmar engine & we went thru the same thought process to learn -- Yanmar didn't design an anode into it. Saw this previously on a much smaller Yanmar also (3YM30).

I'll have to look and see in the manual which engine is used.
