Introduction
Well, if the survey goes well, I will be the owner of a 1994 Carver 370 Aft Cabin in a few weeks. So I want to say hello and thanks for the wisdom and insights that everyone puts on here. I spent time researching before I pulled the trigger of course. I am new to boating, at least one this large. I will be based out of Chattanooga, although I live about 30 miles south of Augusta,GA. and we go to TN to visit my daughter and family. Looking forward to traveling up and down the Tennessee River when I get more experience. I plan on taking courses and training offered at the marina. Anyone in the Chat area please reach out, I need all the advice I can get! Thanks again!

Re: Introduction
Welcome aboard. I am thinking you are running Crusader 7.4XL's, and V drive transmissions. Carver had a special arrangement with Crusader at the time because Crusader was positioning themselves for a sale. You will be happy with those, but they are thirsty. Good luck with the survey! Let us know what happens.

Re: Introduction
Welcome Aboard. Hope all your adventures are fun ones. I would recommend taking one of the safe boating courses offered either by the Power Squadron or U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Both are great courses. You and the Admiral could take the course together. Best of luck.

Re: Introduction
Actually, they are direct drives and yes they like to drink fuel I’m sure. Hopefully, if I take it easy and keep those rpm’s down, I can live with it.Cooler wrote:Welcome aboard. Re: Introduction
Welcome aboard and congratulations! We too are on the Tennessee River, just at the other end on Ky Lake. I was stationed at Fort Gordon back in the 80’s. I can Imagine that Augusta has changed a lot since back then.

Re: Introduction
Yes, Augusta has grown mostly toward the west. It has engulfed Evans and Grovetown. Hope to make a trip up your way when I get a little experience.
