Awesome! Very cool. Welcome to the forum. We have the same year Carver. I just bought mine maybe a month ago and it sat for 5 years before I got it. I'm sure our projects will be similar. Good luck and good to hear somebody else with a boat of my vintage.
Thanks,
Steve

I know it's been a while since this post but I just joined and want to say I also have a 1977 Santa Cruz 2566 and believe I might have seen yours cruising down I-85 (or maybe I-95 actually) in North Carolina a few years back. What year did you haul it down? There aren't many out there so figured someday I'd run across the owner.

Do you have the original dual helm morse cable steering? I am desperate for a photo of the unit that joins the upper and lower helm cables before heading to the outdrive.

Thanks,
Michael
