Re: Welcome to CarverYachtOwners.com!
Hi my name is Billy. And I'm a boataholic. Just got a 1998 carver voyager 530 that was pretty neglected. Going to try and bring her ba k to her former glory. So I started changing batteries and what I thought was fairly easy however there is four marine batteries center forward and I got confused on what goes where. If anyone has a picture or diagram it would be greatly appreciated. I didn't get any books

Hello,
Vic here and I've found myself in the midst of refitting not one but TWO 1979 carver Santa Cruz. Came here for a lead on replacement parts. Thanks for having me.

Re: Welcome to CarverYachtOwners.com!
Hello fellow boaters,
Wally Mack & Mary Jo Sennett
First time Carver owners, medium boat. 26' Santa Cruz. Originally small boaters from Detroit with large boat friends. 1st I.O. as well. Live on Gulf Coast of Florida. We have had terrible luck as the boat was purchased just before pandemic hit. Took boat to ramp close by. Dropped third axle into a hole on ramp, broke spring hangers and boat slid off trailer sideways. Lesson learned, know your ramp before you try to launch. Took a long time to get trailer hangers replaced due to pandemic, finally got done though. Boat has been sitting in my yard now due to health issues. Want to get to know other boaters & get out on the water.

Did you put any fuel stabilizer in the tank; might be a good idea.

Re: Welcome to CarverYachtOwners.com!
Greetings all. We are Paul and Gloria Burgess and the proud owners of a 2002 Carver 466. We are not new to boating, Gloria grew up with boats from day one, I when I married her 51 yrs ago. I am a retired Navy Chief. My specialty was gas turbine electronics. I served on 2 destroyers and the Navy’s hover craft, the LCAC, as technician, then engineer and finally engineer instructor. The bulk of my career was with the LCACs. I am also retired from maintaining, operating supervising and training NYC’s largest power plant. Our boats aren’t many, a 21’ 1999 Crownline Cuddy Cabin followed by a 1997 Wellcraft Martinique 3600 and now the 466. Gloria and I live on the 466 full time in Wilmington NC. We are members of the AGLCA and will embark on our Great Loop journey next year after the last of our grandsons graduate high school and I complete some projects.
Looking forward to picking members brains when I stumped on a problem and offering help and guidance in areas I know about.
BTW our boat’s name is Hygge (pronounced hoo-gah) which is Scandinavian for a a comfortable and pleasing lifestyle.
