Bilge Blower switch

Post by Jet Lag Tiki »

Hello!

I have a 1999 Carver 350 that we bought last fall. The Bilge Blower switch, which is an illuminated rotary knob, stopped turning the blower off. The little green light on the knob still works if I turn it right to on, and the blower runs continuously whether the switch is on or off. If I turn the knob to the OFF position, light goes out but the blowers continues to run: I turn it off inside on the Main panel with the breaker.

The marina is ordering me a new rotary switch, but has said they found out I have to buy the switch for $35 AND the Illumination Module for another $25. I asked ChatGPT about that and was told if the light is working, the illumination module is working, and I only need the switch.

Anyone had this or have an answer?

Thanks

Kevin
