3807 approximate original price?

Post by ThomD »

Can anyone give me an idea of what the original price would have been back when new, for a typical 1988-1990 38 ft 3807 aft cabin?

Thanks,
Thom

No success. I was hoping someone on this forum would be able to give a number, but nothing so far.

We bought our 2807 new in Sep 1988 and got it for 56k. List was something like 79k.

I know a gas engine 4207 practically naked was out the door for 240k. A doctor I knew bought one. Later added electronics.

So having said that, I'd put a3807 without many electronic options and gas engines about 180k
Thanks
Fred

Boats have gone up considerably over the years. The 41cmy I just purchased was bought new in the latter part of 2006 for the modest sum of $525,000 US :-O Unfortunately the original buyers take a major dump unloading them in difficult times. Price today is based on the overall condition and the options. ;-)

Call Carver. They're always really helpful. I'm sure they'll have some old numbers lying around.

That would be great. I am just an hour north of you so getting a # in CAN $ would greatly help. Also, could you let us know what options that price included? Heat/AC? Cabin helm? Any others..

Thanks,
Thom
