I'm leaning toward a restriction, fuel, inlet air or exhaust. Mike

Sorry, re-pitch is correct, I wrote re-prop.
- No smoking at all during the sea trial
- Agree exhaust leaks probably cause of turbo corrosion
Would certainly get a Cummins' guy of my own choosing to go through the engines prior to buying, but it looks like seller is balking at doing any more repairs that were submitted at post survey negotiations. I'd probably be comfortable assuming all the risk on the under water blistering (at a reduced price since I'm now assuming the risk), but not on engine and safety related repairs I asked for.
So unless seller re-thinks his current stand, I'll probably have to walk away from this one. Liked the form, but can't accept engine or safety issues at the pre-survey price offered. Oh well, survey always money well spent, and there are plenty of other boats in the sea.

If there are issues that concern you that the seller does not want to correct walking away might be the best decision you can make.
Good thing is there are lots of used boats out there for you to choose from. Good luck.

Great way to buy a boat. Do not get emotionally involved. Run on facts. And run away when it doesn't add up.
I think you are doing 100% the right thing.
There are many perfect boats out there; all you have to do is wade through all the bs thrown at you and find the right one!
Good Luck matee.

I know not the same boat, but I had a 26 Ft. SeaSwirl with Mercruiser IO. Same thing couldnt get it to run wide open. Turned out injectors were the issue. Had them rebuilt and boat ran fine. Dont think its your Props at all

What was your result with this boat? Did you buy, or walk away???? We all want to know.
