Our Marina says they charge by LOA, but when we checked in they asked how long the boat was, I said 29', they have charged me 29' since. Anyone have the marina measure the actual LOA?

Our marina charges by the slip, so if you're 29' (LOA or hull) fits into the slip you pay for the slip. You're not supposed to extend beyond the slip even with your swim platform, but that's not usually enforced unless it's excessive. A marina at the other end of the lake allows you to extend EIGHT FEET into the fairway, so as long as your beam fits between the posts you can get away with a much smaller well.
My 40' well was $2600 last year.. this year it's $3200. They paved the road with nice 'exposed aggregate', reconditioned all the dock, put in new power/water posts and new dock lighting. Power and water is included, as well as weekly pumpouts.

For winter storage, it's all LOA x beam.

I'm at Goosepond Marina on Lake Guntersville (north AL) and for a 45' slip, yearly rate is $3135 / year. Covered slip, floating docks with cement walkways. Water / WiFi free, power is metered per slip and runs me about $20 / month during summer with A/C's running.
