Yep, engines run much better at higher temps that's why the spec for closed cooling stats is higher, otherwise they'd be lower too.

km1125; I guess I agree with if it ain't broke don't fix it, but I'm also a firm believer of maintaining my twins equally not knowing the past maintenance. So if I have all the tools and now the knowledge of the repair why not do it now while you have everything out and ready? Just me.
