What did you order, I'm considering something different for next year. At 2k per season, it adds up quickly.

Gee! Sounds like ur at our marina. I had snow on the bow of my boat and my neighbors boat 2. Had to climb up on the bow on the inside and push it off. Blooming Idiots!!! GRRR, one more cross strand and better shrinking and this would not happen. Rates all went up and the quality all went down this year, oh that's the American way. And oh yea boat didn't get shrunk until the last full week of DECEMBER and was on the hard the last full week in OCTOBER! GO FIGURE!!!

In 50 years of boating (counting years my grandparents boats when I was in diapers) I have never shrunk wrapped a boat.
For express cruisers I used cockpit covers. For my 355 I do as my grandfather taught me. Leave the canvas up, place some reinforcing supports under the frame tubes for snow and good to go. It may take a few years off your canvas, but with the $ saved you can replace the canvas every 4 of 5 years and break even.

Tom you are very lucky to be able to do it that way.....up here it is just not an option with glass boats, too much snow load and temps that go from -25C to +5C then back to -10C in a matter of days. There used to be quite a discussion with all the sailors as to whether to cover or not and if there was any benefit, that was on Lake Ontario where it is considerably more moderate temp wise.The damage up here would be considerable.Guy beside me has a steel trawler that he does nothing with,I envy him........

Why is it so expensive in Canada to have a boat shrunk? It runs between $10>$14 a foot here in NY.

Everything up here is more expensive. Heck we pay more for the oil we take out of our own ground than the people we ship it to do!

Lest we not forget that a bottle of Good old Canadian Rye Whisky is more expensive here in Ontario than it is in Florida......... Taxes
