Re: First Carver...and boat
Hi all. Glad to find this forum. This is my first Carver and it was recently purchased. The previous owner was very knowledgeable and helpful with the sale and instruction of the boats systems. The only thing he did not know was whether the boat was a 2757 or a 2557. Is there an easy way to differentiate between the two models?

I believe the 2757 is about three feet longer and 1.5 feet wider than the 2557.

Thanks for the reply. It is a 1989. Aside from the length are there any easy to spot distinguishing features? I have looked at photos online of both models and really just cannot tell. The gentleman that sold me the boat thought it was 28 foot which suggests a 2757 however it sure does look like a 2557 based on the online pictures I have found.

Have a look at the 89 brochure, see if you spot anything.........

Measure the beam. I am pretty certain the 2557 is 8'6" and the 2757 is over 10'. The 2757 almost always will have twins. In 89 it would be merc 4 cylinders or 4.3's. If single engine it should be a 454.

Thank you much. The brochure did the trick. It turned out to be a 25 Montego. Appreciate the effort!

Re: First Carver...and boat
Hello all. New to Forum also. Just purchased a 95 330 Mariner. Totally shocked at the fuel efficiency of the Crusader 350XL's. Way more efficient than my 7.4's in my last boat. Going to be a great summer on the bay of Green Bay, in Door County. If there are other Mariner owners here, what kind of fuel rate do you burn at 3200RPM?
