A couple more pictures. I had to re-route one of the AC power lines going from the closet to the undercabinet, so I also added another outlet in the closet. This way the TV wiring will all be contained within the closet and not exposed on the countertop.

Here is the ducting installed. I did run a bead of RTV along the edge so when I screwed it to the bulkhead it will be sealed 100%, but it's a small bead so removing this in the future should not be an issue. I had pre-drilled all the screw holes, so I put a couple short lengths of coat hanger wire in a few of the hole so the duct was in perfect alignment as I pushed to the wall so the RTV didn't get smudged at all. I still have to clean up all the wires for the TV... I'm also adding an HD off-air antenna to the RF distribution. That equalizer is for the TV audio to a couple of speakers under the aft berth.

OK, one little improvement. It bothered me that you could see the inside of the ducting when you looked into the register, so I took it apart and sprayed the inside a flat black. Now that doesn't keep me up at night. CDO, right?

Looking at this thread after a different discussion, I realized I never added pictures of the rest of the installation.

Here's a few of the cabinetry work to put the HVAC unit in the port side cabinetry...

How has it worked out? Have you had any issues with condensate on the ducts? If you were to do it again would you use insulated ducts instead? Wish that's what they used at the factory back then.

It worked great. No issues with condensation that I could find. Perhaps if I lived in a much more humid environment like down in FL it might have been an issue. The one place I could see condensation being a problem would be in the salon where the HVAC hoses would have to run near the engine room air intake/exhaust vents on the side of the boat. There you get a lot of unconditioned outside air. In the aft cabin and fwd berth all those space would be conditioned (even where the hoses run) so I wouldn't expect much of a a problem at all.

I have few more pics of that project but I have to dig them up. Most are making a custom return grill.
