OK - The saltwater exposure brings a whole new dynamic in play. When you go see it, bring a good strong flashlight so you can see any signs of corrosion in the bilge, especially around the underwater gear. Actually anywhere. Saltwater actually impacts boats in places that do not come in contact with water. The air contains enough salt moisture to cause corrosion in the strangest places. All electrical has the opportunity for corrosion which leads to shorts and failures. Whoever did the blister repair should be consulted, and a very close inspection of the entire hull should be done. Blisters are normally cosmetic only, chances are there are going to be more. If deep enough, then could be serious problems. Personally, I would not buy a saltwater boat, but I am conservative with regard to boats. Are the engines closed or raw water cooled? It is very easy to buy a saltwater boat at the "right" price, thinking it's a great deal, and then get upside down in no time. er
