Ok, so what happened to the engine? What kind of shape is the other in? Can we assume the seller is putting the new (remaned) engine in?

Must be the first time I've ever seen one of those, don't remember seeing two bridge ladders on any convertible!

Not sure if this helps any with the discussion, but ran across it while looking up that boat:

I hope the survey and sea trial are good. I will order the survey after my visual on Saturday. The only holdup may be the installation of a new engine. The seller is going to move the boat since the marina that has it now has been procrastinating.
Thanks for the welcome and info.

I'll schedule the survey after my visual on Saturday. The seller is installing a new engine and will be moving the boat to a different marina. The one that has it now has been procrastinating rd the install. From my research it does seem to be a great price, hope it doesn't turn into a "if it seems too good to be true" situations. After you identified it as the 3867 model I located a youtube video about one in North Miami that showed a good walk thru. I'm really looking forward to Saturday.
Thanks for you help and info.

Try to find out who will be installing the new engine and if the warranty will be transferrable to you.
Unfortunately, there are no marinas in that area that have good mechanics anymore. You need to go a bit south.
Duffy's creek and Georgetown marina have a couple decent mechanics and tolchester or worton creek are still very good.
Good luck.

Find out who did the engine rebuild and as mentioned above, does the warranty transfer.

The engine is new not a rebuild. I believe that the boat is currently in the Charlestown marina, but they have been dragging their feet on the install,so the seller is going to have it towed to a new location for the install. Is it normal to install a boat engine while the boat is in the water?
Good point as to the warranty being transferable to the new owner. I'll have to find out.
