Viper - the building has some wifi system that alerts the owner, who lives across the street in a rural setting, if the temp falls below 50. If power fails, he has an alert for that also. Volunteer fireman, so he is hooked into emergency communication system. The building is heated with fuel oil so his cost is pretty reasonable. Also has back up generators to power up heaters in the event of a power failure of any kind. Finally, the owner is a retired master marine mechanic. I wrote about him last year. He has rules around keeping the place safe, and everybody complies. I am really fortunate when it comes to storage facility. His waiting list is about 4 years out. Nobody leaves unless they get out of boating completely. Going out there this afternoon to clean out gear. Liquor cabinet may need some relief also. 8-) er

I leave that on board for those winter visits, it doesn't freeze ;-)

Exactly. That cabinet goes through a long, drawn out process. :drunk: I don't like to take those bottles off because one could slip out of my hand and leave broken glass in the building. Never want to create a dangerous situation for my storage mates. 8-) er

Jeepers, for crying out loud! We have already had snow, 7" over the last 3 days, and snowing right now! This may be one loooonngg winter! This is usually late November/ early December type weather. There are boats still sitting in the marina in Sturgeon Bay, getting snow covered. BUT, could be a lot worse. Feel bad for the people in Cali! Guess I would rather have a chilly heaven, than a hot hell. Hope this weather clears up soon. I have a boat load of candy, and the trick or treaters may not show up. 8-) er

We had 74 degrees today, looking like 28 for Sunday night. I will be pulled next week.

First snow of the season on the ground this morning. One lonely degree C. :-( I still have so many boats to winterize and the water coming out of the blocks is getting colder and colder  It's a reminder of why I've stared to slow down and scale back, rather be boating! :captain:
