Dan M, Dumb question but did you fabricate the replacement part or use the part number listed at the top and order it directly from Carver? Seems like it is PVC or teflon?
There are no dumb questions. The only dumb question is the one you don't ask. The best way to learn is to ask and receive an answer. Who knows, someone else may have had the same question but were afraid to ask.

650guy. Just an FYI. I don’t think that epoxy alone will hold without screwing the two pieces together. But who knows I could be wrong. (There’s a first time for everything.)

Thats a great point! a set screw is a much more stable option
