I did finish replacing all my bulb to LED I like the results. I also was able to convert the fluorescent lights using LED strips.

Can anyone assist with the proper wiring for these Dream Light replacements. The come with a black (postive) and white (ground) wire. My existing lights have 2 white wires. This newbie needs guidance please? Thank you

You can always just test the existing wiring with a volt meter, one will be 12v positive and the other 12v negative, DC that is. There is no ground applicable here.

Or you can be lazy like me and just touch touch the wires from the lights to the existing wiring, if they turn on, you are good to make a permanent connection, if it doesn't then just reverse the wires and they should come on and now make the permanent connection. Did all mine this way, easy.

Do you have access to a volt meter? Would be easy enough to determine whats what? If you don't it would probably make a great gift to you. It will be very handy on the boat.

A lot of LED lights made today are polarity protected, meaning if you hook them up wrong, they simply won't light up but won't be harmed either. Flip the wires and try it again. Having said that, not all LEDs are equal and you should find out in advance if they indeed are polarity protected before you wire them up. I replaced all my light bulbs with LED conversions this summer, all were polarity protected. Probably about 4 different types. I also replaced the old incandescent rope lights with LED strips, what a difference. Going to install LED strips in the closets, pantry, under upper galley cabinets, etc. to brighten those spaces up.

I can confirm the Dream Lights are polarity protected.
