A common mistake. I also own ProbablyPaul, CertainlyPaul and SurelyPaul on Hotmail, if I must lay out my multiple personalities; this one turns out to be my Default one - Microsoft says so, and they're bigger than me. Better than 'That Clown In County Down', though
ColRon, thanks, but I'll stick with Hornbill III; I think the First Mate would have whacked me with her telescope if I'd even mentioned the possibility of that name; she'd have read all sorts of unsavoury intentions into it. The original name, apparently since construction, was 'Voyager', which is a pretty poor display of imagination in my opinion.ColRon wrote:QR_BBPOSTPossiblyPaul,PossiblyPaul wrote:QR_BBPOSTThanks for the welcome, but I have to say that I'm annoyed that my proposed name for my boat had already been taken; 'Escape Plan' was my original choice (I'm actually an old Tanganyikan Brit, trapped by a Northern Irish wife, who refuses to leave the blasted place for somewhere with more light and warmth. If “Escape Plan” was/is your original choice for a name, then by all means use it. When we bought our current Carver, her name was Fat and Sassy. There was no way on Gods green earth the admiral was going to allow that name to remain. We can up with Escape Plan as our boat is our escape from the daily rigors of life. We thought it might be original, but after a search of USCG list of documented vessels, we found two other with the same name, although those boats were not Carvers. The admiral and I would feel honored if you used the name Escape Plan also and with the little Pond between us, it’s highly unlikely anyone would confuse us for each other.
