Under contract for a 1989 38' Aft Cabin. Survey was 2 days ago, now working out details for fixing items on survey report or purchasing and doing the fixes myself.
Looking forward to getting to know the Carver Community and appreciate that you are all here to advise and support.

As far as fuel economy goes, anything up to hull speed, around 7 knots is pretty good. If you want to go faster, get the boat up on full plane. Speeds between hull speed and full plane are very inefficient. All you are doing is plowing thru the water, kicking up a big wake, which won't make you any friends and wasting gas...more than if you were on full plane.
