I have extensive experience with dealing with this tank (see my post “Aux fuel tank”). It’s a ten minute job to get clear access to all the fittings and sending unit on the fuel tank. And I agree with the other statements that your fuel float/sending unit could be corroded and stuck, or there is a stuck check-valve. The check valve can be easily disassembled and cleaned, or just buy a new one(s).
1) Lift the starboard nightstand top off by pulling straight up on it
2) Remove the drawer
3) There are about 6 screws that fasten the cabinet to the fiberglass floor. Remove all screws and the cabinet will slide out
4) There are two screws that hold the padded bolster that spans above the bed and cabinet, you’ll have to run your fingers across the bottom edge against the back wall to feel for the dimples where the screws are. The bolster just pulls right out after removing the screws. You’re 60 seconds away!! The “wall” is held in by Velcro and you’ll see the loops on the bottom of the two pieces of the wall to pull on to remove them. The Velcro is strong, don’t be shy. You’re there!!
The larger fuel line is the supply line (1/2”), the smaller line is the fuel return line (3/8”). The 1/2” line will have the check-valve. There will be two sets of each (One for each engine).
When putting any fittings back in the tank, be sure to use teflon tape or fuel proof thread sealant. If using Teflon tape, be sure to wrap the threads NO LESS than 4 times.
Good luck!
