Very nice job!
One suggestion, looks like the boat has sat a pretty long time. I know the engines fired up pretty good, but you may still have 3 tanks of, at best, marginal gas, maybe even bad. It might be best to just bite the bullet and pump it out and start over with new, fresh gas.
I also have a 2001, 356 that I bought in WAY better shape and I had a fuel issue that caused me headaches.

Good stuff......cleaned up nice heh......I agree with Buster about the fuel....the cost to get rid of the old and replace with fresh will be much lower than all the stuff that comes later when you have bad or marginal fuel. Lots of people will say to filter it and so on, it just doesn't make sense in the long run.....good luck with her...

Filtering (or polishing) can filter out crud floating in the tank and remove water, but it can’t make old, stale gas fresh again of fix phase separated ethanol. Even if the gas was stabilized, it can only help but so much.

From the paper work we found on the boat, he was a older gentleman that owned it, I believe his health was deteriorating and he let the boat go.

Yes that’s on the list to do , I already have 6 empty 55 gallon barrels to pump it into. I didn’t want to do it while it was in SC and have to transport it back to NY. I can have disposed of properly through my business. I already have all the replacement fuel filters and water separators to 8nstall when it gets up here.

It will be about a month before I have any new updates, it will be the end of February when we are going to ship it, I will get plenty of photos of the loading and unloading process as I will be there for both.

It finally stopped raining and I was able to get the yard to get the bottom painted and props removed for shipping. The shipping company was planning to pick up the boat on the 28th , so I made the 14 hour drive to double check everything for the trip. I cleaned the remaining growth off the prop shafts and rudders and made sure everything was secure. The shipper showed up the following morning as scheduled and we got the boat loaded up for the trip to NY. After everything was loaded I hopped back in my car and made the trip back home. I’m glad I will only be driving 10 minutes to the marina to work on it once it arrives on Tuesday.
