Well, despite the broken arm, we went up to the boat today. Got done what we planned to do. It was less than what we should have done, but I did compromise and not do as much!! The brackets are removed. Thanks KM1255 for the tip about having to cut the headliner. The bottom ones were fastened right through the headliner, but under the counter so they were easy to get to. Did a dry fit and I will contact the supplier as I don't think the bracket arm is long enough. Did some patching of the screw holes. And that was it!!

Have been in touch with John at Stainless Steel Outfitters. I think we have everything sorted out. Turns out that they maybe had some wrong drawings. They are sending a new top step that is 15" instead of 11". They will also be arranging pick up of the old step. John has been very good to work with.

Sounds like a good company to work with. Warmer weather is on its way

Well here is the final update! The stairs are installed. There were a few missteps (pun intended) along the way. It turns out the top step was not the correct step. They sent one that was 11 inches wide. Had a conversation with John. He said they had received wrong info and the top step should be 15 inches. Made arrangements for the correct stair to be shipped. It arrived. It was 15 inches wide but the bracket was on the wrong side.... they shipped a starboard stair, not the port stair. Called John....again...Yes they shipped the correct stair. After some more bumps and bruises the stairs are now installed and functional! We love the look and functionallity. If we were to do it over, I would have someone else do it!!

Nice

Do you find the height from one step to another an easy climb?

Looks good! I think that would have made a huge improvement in my old 3607. Nobody was comfortable on those stairs. I would also opt for a larger swim platform. The stock one is about the smallest usable one you could have.

The height of the steps is a little steeper than I would like but they are much easier to deal with than the ladder. I did mention that to John (Stainless Outfitters). He mentioned that if they added more the treads would overlap too much. Also that the swim platform is installed after production and apparently there is no standard height.
