Hi There,
Our 4207 came with a camera display mounted with the bridge electronics. I believe that it,s just an automotive type camera package with 2 cameras. One is in the forward engine room facing to aft, with this camera I can clearly see what's going on in the engine compartment as we're travelling. The other camera is mounted on top of the aft deck hardtop, and gives us a view of the swimgrid, so that I can see if the wife has left the swimgrid when we dock.
I really love having these cameras onboard, and like I said before, they're an automotive type camera setup, with 2 cameras going to one display and I can choose with I want to look at on the display.

I think that is the road I am going to go down. Buying a automotive type stereo with the camera built in. The hard part will be to get it into a waterproof container since it will be a 2 DIN size, a double size of a normal radio. I don't think I ever seen a waterproof container for that size. Anybody else?

I purchased a wireless back up camera and 10" display for my bridge. Going to mount it on the rear of my hardtop. I paid just under $100 for the complete setup.

Wow, that sounds like a pret good deal. I did not get to mine yet. I am in the middle of my window project. Good luck with it. I can't wait to get mine.

My $100 camera works fantastic, I ditched the a reen it came with and plugged into my Raymaribe Chartplotter's video input. Works fantastic, great field of view. I use it every time I stern in.

This winter I ordered two more cameras from the same supplier and am running them thru a 3 way switch so I can select port side/starboard side/ or stern camera view.

The 2 additional cameras cost me $80.

When I purchased my 350 Mariner it came with 2 rear view cameras mount just below the the radar. So far I have not been able to back into my slip by using them..... sorry just need to see the real deal.

When we had our 4207, I would always back into the slip. I would stop the boat at the slip, walk around to the other side of the helm, put my left knee on the cushion in front of the helm, and drive it in just as if I were going forward.

Fred, that's how I backed my 42C in, exactly the same way. I can't see my stern or my port/starboard midship on my 506. I have no option but to use cameras.

I have a Raymarine one mounted on the hardtop looking down at the cockpit and hooked up to an e120W. Honestly I never use it for docking but sometimes I use it to gauge my distance between the swim platform and the dock/pilings until the mate gets some lines on. It's a bit difficult to dock with it - maybe one can get used to it but I've found that I don't really need it...
