Headliner Repair

No, I never proceeded with this project. From what I was able to determine it looks like the ceiling is just a soft canvas that is pressed into a frame along the edges. The biggest problem I saw was that when I tried to pull out one of the edges, it really deformed and wrinkled the canvas. I was able to press it back in and make it look good again, but if I had done a much bigger area I think I would have had a mess - and would probably be looking at having to replace the entire ceiling!

+1 I have the same issue in my Carver 444. Water inside both sides. Deterioration of ceiling vinyl. First was tacky and any attempt to clean resulted in it falling apart. Anyone who has done this or replaced their aft cabin ceiling I would appreciate any input ..
