Can you just get that cracked piece TIG welded?

Even if I could, there is still a large missing piece on the other side corner... unfortunately this one has to come off.

UPDATE: Hope all are shaping up for a happy holiday season! Had some bad luck/good luck so far. Bad news was both transom’s needed to be replaced instead of just the one, and single A1G1 transoms are averaging between $900-$1800 used (cringe to good looking… but who knows what you’ll get…) and $3800-$4200 new :-O I was going to use my existing OD’s if I only had to replace one transom, but two… Forget that. Fortunately, the good news is that both engines checked out fine with one only needing a new starter and water pump. Since both transoms had to come off I called up SEI and got a great deal on two A1G2 setups from the transoms back. Both complete A1G2 sides cost me $1200 less than both the A1G1 transoms alone.. Decided to keep both sides RH as I already have 4 RH props (and also because I forgot to specify counter rotating before the new units shipped  ) . So I got good engines out and in and a whole new back end (with no-fault 3 Yr warranty) for under 12K so far. So, yeah, bad luck/good luck but still she’s shaping up nicely and glad the engines are GTG!

Looks like that project is coming along great!!! AND quickly!!

Bit surprised on the "counter rotating" issue. I thought that was just a matter of the linkage and the props, but I don't know outdrives all that well.

You're not concerned with handling issues with the props all going the same way?

Handling will not be an issue. Lots of single rotation applications out there. My question would be are the engines counter rotating? 8-) er

No worries, I’ve handled a few same rotation boats with no issues. These engines are both RH turning too. But to get counter rotation with these units I would just need something minor done with the shift linkage on the port side and just a different bottom end on the port outdrive. Since the old sets were already set up for the same direction I just absentmindedly forgot to specify that I would have wanted a counter rotating pair when I ordered the new sets. Biggest reason I did NOT go back and change it in the end was because the restocking fee and shipping (both ways) would have eaten up my discounts…

Happy New Year!
Looking for input. I need to replace the anchor line. I think it had 1/2 x 150 before (swollen and mildewed so hard to tell). Is 1/2 x 200 overkill for this boat? Will 3/8 work? Also looking at double braided vs wrapped lines. Will MFP do or should I go with Nylon? Will probably see mild use bit mostly in salt water. Suggestions?
