KM, I replaced the thermostats last week .ey fluctuate, like 165 open thermostats and temp goes down to 160 and repeat.

Tony, don't sweat 10 degrees. You likely have 160 deg T-stats at least so running at 170 deg is fine, won't do any harm in fact your engine will like it better. Too many variables involved in the cooling circuit to expect two engines to run at the exact same temp, never mind the electrical side of it for monitoring temps.

Yup....it seems pretty normal to me.....there is no way you will get both the exact same....gauge error spec is probably 2% of scale to start with......
