Only 400 hours on the engines?
A REPLACED oil pan?
Oil full of metallic particles?
No serial plates on engines?
Genset craps out after 10 minutes?
Noise (knock) from one cylinder (how identified??)?
Thruster shot?
Ice maker inop? (can't even make yourself a drink?)
Run, do not walk!

Hello again. Thought I’d provide a quick update.
After doing some additional research and talking with both the owner of the lab who did the analysis and an engineer I know who does engine analysis for a large fleet of vehicles, including boats, they felt fairly confident given everything else was in good order (compression tests, borescope, running well, etc.), what I’m most likely looking at is (they thought) probably just new engine wear and lack of consistent oil changes. So I negotiated a bit more off the sale price and moved forward with the buy and I can now report I’m the proud owner of the boat. I guess now the real fun begins.
I delivered it to a yard on Monday and she’s currently sitting on blocks getting the bottom paint done, some of the engine work that needs to be done and other things we’re finding as we move along. Hopefully she’ll be ready to splash in about 2 weeks.
Looking forward to being part of the community and be prep’d for more questions. Thanks in advance for any future help provided.

Hello. Been a bit since I’ve posted or asked any questions - which I guess is a good thing. But since I’ve had the boat for just over a year now thought I’d post a quick update. The upshot is I’ve put about 80 hours on the boat this year and other than some routine maintenance and replacement of minor parts, I’m happy to report all is running very well (hope I didn’t just jinx myself). I did have the bow thruster replaced, expensive but worth it for that extra bit of control when the boat starts to sail. I’ve learned quite a bit as well in doing most of the work myself, which is also part of the fun for me.
Anyway - glad I took the chance and joined the boating community.
